Craig Brandt, Principal

Craig joined HBRA in 1997 and was elevated to Principal in 2002. He has served as principal-in-charge, project architect and designer on diverse public projects including theaters, buildings for higher education, museums, and government facilities, encompassing key HBRA buildings such as the Raymond Port of Entry, the Tuscaloosa Federal Building and Courthouse, and the Harris Theater for Music and Dance.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Craig has served as adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has lectured and participated as design critic nationally. He has been engaged in broader institutional initiatives promoting design excellence, having served on the executive committee of AIA Chicago, the national AIA Committee on Design Awards Committee, and the Docomomo US Chicago Board of Directors. Craig is a member of the Society of Fellows at the American Academy of Rome and is a recipient of the Young Architects Award by the American Institute of Architects, Chicago Chapter. Mr. Brandt is a licensed architect in Illinois, Wisconsin, Connecticut and South Carolina and NCARB accredited.
